Fundraising for A Cause
It's a weird time in the world right now. Everyone is at home, except for essentials anyway. Our healthcare workers are our new soldiers. As are every essential worker out there helping this country continue to move forward.
I grapple with how I feel about this "new normal" on a daily basis: For about 5 minutes. Then I get back in the saddle and get on with the day.
These days "Getting Back on the Saddle" has been working my business. In addition to being an absolutely Nutty Soccer Mom, I am a Pampered Chef Consultant & Trainer. I offer solutions for the kitchen to help families get to the table quicker. Now, that means helping people get to the table and onto Zoom, Facetime or FB Video Chat so they can have dinner with extended family. The New Normal.
Right now, I'm even more proud to work with The Pampered Chef and it's parent company, Berkshire Hathaway. We have 2 amazing ways in which you can give back and help out during this wild and wacky time. Host a Fundraiser for either between now and the end of May. Pampered Chef is doubling their donations based on party sales up to 30%. This has never happened and is a great answer to the growing needs right now. Here is an overview:
Pampered Chef has been partnering with Feeding America® since 1991 to raise money for their network of Food Pantries across the country. Their need is immense right now. They usually serve 37 million families across the country. Right now? That need is well over 48 million. My recent fundraiser raised $800 for Feeding America. That is 8,000 meals!!!
We also partner with The American Red Cross®. This year The Pampered Chef is raising money to support Hope Lodge. Under normalcy, Hope Lodge provides free places for cancer patients and their caregivers to stay while undergoing cancer treatment. Right now, everything is very far from normal. Today, Hope Lodge is offering free lodging to health care workers. I call them our Covid Warriors!!! These men and women are on the front lines treating patients, and many are unable to return home without risking the health of their families. Hope Lodge is giving them refuge. A comfortable place to call home while they are away from home. My hope is to host at least 1 more Fundraiser for Feeding America and 2 for Hope Lodge.
