A year later

Hi All, I'm back.

Photography is going well. I've done photos for two GHS seniors. Informal shots. Don't want to ruin the business of the local "pro" photog who will charge you an arm and a leg for formal pictures you could take yourself. Just saying.

The first set were amazing. Shot down at the town's Boat House along the Connecticut River during the Golden Hour. Oh the light. It was amazing.

The second, was MEH. I'm redoing that whole shoot. I should have done more research before going. It was a last minute thang anyway. The next one will be much better. :)

Did my second year of Football this fall. It went much better than last year. And I know everyone loved the photos. They have requested my services again for this coming fall. Happy Day!!!

Season 6 of Lacrosse just ended. Wow, what a ride. The team made it to the Semi-Finals of the State Tournament. They were amazing to watch and to photograph. I think I took 20,000 pics this spring.

I also did my first wedding. Scared? You bet. But I persevered. The couple is amazing and I warned them ahead of time about my inexperience. Told them, 250 and I'd give them a CD and they could do what they wanted with the pics. Oh, and the could tip me if they wanted too. :)

My Dad:  This woman he is now letting control his life has totally taken him away from his family. We can't get through to him. She doesn't give him his mail either. She talked him into closing a bank account that was set up with my brother so that my brother could access money if something happened. She is totally in control now. It's heartbreaking. I lost my mom and my dad.

Soccer Memory for the day:

When my oldest was an U11 player for our local town club, he had the worst experience of his life.  The coach and his assistant were awful. My son had just been put on the "A" team. They merged the two teams together. He was treated like a second class player right off the bat. Instead of trying to instill confidence in the players, he just wanted to win. Now, I'm not saying winning isn't important, but winning without confidence building is detrimental to everyone.  Luckily, during the spring season, my son was asked to play with one of the local "premier" clubs. this was  more of a regional club. Best thing to happen to him. So out of the ashes, a phoenix is born.

Hopefully it won't take another year for me to post. :)

Nutty Soccer Mom.
